Bathroom Remodeling in Seattle, WA

Seattle bathrooms have a design culture of their own — more adventurous with color, more interested in craftsmanship, less interested in generic renovations that could be anywhere. TRU Contracting gets that.

We've completed custom tile bathroom work in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, and we bring the same precision craftsmanship to Seattle projects that we bring to every job across the Eastside.

Our Seattle Project

Our Capitol Hill project is a showcase of confident color and material choices. The shower is tiled in multi-colored green subway tile — a palette that requires careful color balancing across the field to make the variation look intentional, not random. A custom bench and soap niche are integrated into the design, built to the wall rather than added as afterthoughts.

The floor contrasts with matte black hexagon tile, trimmed in matte black Schluter profile for a seamless transition. The drain is a Vario line drain — a modern linear format that eliminates the visual interruption of a standard center drain and simplifies the slope of the shower floor. Every detail here was a specific, deliberate choice.

Shoreline Project: Calacatta Marble Master Bath

This Shoreline master bathroom is a study in warm, understated luxury. The project called for large-format Calacatta marble-look tile throughout — walls, shower surround, and tub deck — installed with tight grout joints to let the stone pattern read as continuous. The curbless shower features a pebble mosaic floor for texture and drainage, and a soaking tub with a built-in niche sits beneath a crystal chandelier that anchors the whole space. The before photos show the full scope of what we started with: Ditra heat mat down, plumbing roughed in, tub set, framing and insulation exposed. The transformation from raw subfloor to a room this refined is the kind of work TRU Contracting does throughout the Seattle metro area.

Before

Before: Ditra heat mat on subfloor, tub set, drywall up

After

After: curbless shower and soaking tub side by side, crystal chandelier, pebble floor

After: tub surround with built-in niche, crystal chandelier, marble ledge

Renton — Seattle Metro: Navy Zellige Master Bath

This Renton master bathroom is one of the more editorial projects we've completed in the Seattle metro area. The design anchors on a full accent wall of navy zellige square tile — a handmade clay tile with a dimensional, faceted surface that reads differently at every angle. The remaining walls are covered in crisp white textured subway tile, which keeps the focus on the navy wall without competing for attention. A freestanding oval soaking tub sits squarely against the zellige wall, paired with a matte black floor-mount tub filler and a walnut tray caddy for warmth. The curbless open shower runs the full left side of the room, finished with the same white textured tile and draining through a linear drain. The floor throughout is large-format geometric hex tile — a pattern with enough visual weight to ground the room without fighting the zellige. Every fixture is matte black, pulling the whole design together.

After

Wide room shot: curbless shower, freestanding tub against navy zellige wall, geometric hex floor

Angled view: soaking tub, navy zellige wall, white textured tile walls, matte black floor-mount filler, walnut caddy

Tub straight-on: full navy zellige accent wall, matte black floor-mount filler, geometric hex floor
