Bathroom Remodeling in Burien, WA

TRU Contracting serves Burien homeowners who want a bathroom remodel that stands out — not a cookie-cutter renovation that looks like every other flip on the block.

We've completed custom bathroom work in Burien that combines bold tile choices with practical upgrades that improve daily life. Good design and smart function aren't mutually exclusive.

Our Burien Project

Our Burien project is one of our most design-forward. The floor features a pinwheel tile pattern — a classic geometric layout that creates visual interest underfoot without competing with the rest of the room. The shower is tiled in subway tile configured as a steam shower, trimmed in brass for warmth, with all the sealed, waterproofed construction that a steam environment demands.

The custom floating cabinets are built to the space, giving the bathroom a clean, modern profile while maximizing storage. Every element was designed to work together — pattern, finish, hardware, and storage — rather than selected independently and hoped to match.

This was a full gut remodel — dated builder-grade bathroom stripped to the studs and rebuilt from scratch. The result: charcoal large-format tile throughout, a white subway tile shower with a mosaic tile floor, warm wood vanity with matte black hardware, dual mirrors with warm lighting, and matte black fixtures specified by the designer at every touchpoint.

Before: original builder-grade bathroom — blue paint, oak vanity, outdated fixtures

Demo complete: down to the studs and subfloor

After: warm wood double vanity, dual mirrors, charcoal large-format tile

After: frameless shower and vanity from the doorway — matte black hardware throughout

After: rain head, mosaic shower floor, and matte black fixtures

After: shower interior — white subway tile, matte black rain head, hand shower, mosaic floor
